Our rights are increasingly, being gobbled up at a feverish rate and if we remain apathetic will continue to be regarded only as revenue producing units, ground to dust between the wheels of governments and big corporations.

Now the idea of requiring Login IDs and passwords to accompany job applications, has been floated.

Canadians also need to be aware of the pounding our rights are taking.    This Winnipeg publisher estimates the government spent $500,000 to pursue a human rights complaint against him.    Interview with Michael Coren … Click Here.

I could have just posted a link to the U.S. article referenced here and let it go at that but in case you wanted to take some action;    I’ve also included access to listings of your elected representatives for you.

  1. In the article:

“I think its indefensibly invasive and likely illegal as a violation of
the First Amendment rights of job applicants”
    and this…
“Essentially they’re conditioning your application for employment on your
waiving your First Amendment rights … and risking the security of your
information by requiring you to share your password with them… Where
does it stop? How about a photocopy of your diary?”

I agree with these statements completely. I’d never turn over my passwords
especially for a job application. This would give people I DON’T KNOW access
to all my credit card numbers. How stupid would that be? DUH!

I can see someone turning this into a great big scam:
“Apply for a job online and uh, give us your first born child in the process…”

    Holy Crapola Batman!

  2. You know, if future employers want to see what you post publicly is one thing. Asking for passwords is an invasion of privacy. Like asking for the key to someone’s locked diary or journal. Would you really want to work for a company that controling?

  3. What a shame the Dullard electorate allows Nincompoops
    to be “on the Payroll”

As long as the voters wander in a state of
Entitlement Stupor, these insidious Dictates will continue
to prevail locally, Statewide and Country Wide.

Another strong case for NOT ASPIRING to WORK for Idiots.
Would the Budgets go down if less jobs were filled?
